Gift Card – Recently we have had numerous folks email asking if we have Gift Cards? Yes, we do offer gift cards in $25, $75, and $150 dollar values. You can buy one, many of the same value or mix it up with different dollar values. Here is how they work:
Instant Checkout: Gift cards are taken down an instant checkout path separate from the standard checkout process. This allows you to receive & pay for the code instantly. This also ensures gift cards are excluded from order minimums and delivery fees.
Email Notification: Once a gift card is purchased, an email confirmation will be sent to the buyer with the generated code and instructions on how it can be redeemed. The buyer can then easily forward or print this email for their recipient. A unique code is generated for every gift card, so if the buyer purchases a higher quantity than 1, they'll receive multiple emails for each code.
Redeeming gift cards: Customers can redeem their gift cards by going to their account menu and selecting "Redeem Gift Card". When they enter their code the dollar amount of the gift card will be added to their account as store credit and automatically be applied to their next purchase.
Gift cards are a great idea for family, friends, and team members. Here is the link.
Your Opportunity To Be HEARD- Commissioner Gipson officially announced on Oct 1st, 2025 in the MS Market Bulletin the formation of a new council titled F.A.R.M.
A few weeks prior he mentioned the council on his Facebook page and who the members were. He received a lot of backlash from farmers (many whom I know) because there was not even ONE farmer appointed to the council.
Instead, council members are made up of Industry, Associations, MSU, Insurance, (don't forget BANKERS), etc. - all the same crowd that are responsible for the farm crisis in the first place.
The article listed multiple "reasons" for the crisis - however, never was the main reason mentioned. Since none are farmers they probably don't know!!!
The article did not point out how our food supply chain is way too centralized in the hands of few BIG BUSINESS.
The article did not point out that most of the commodities grown support processed food that is now known to contribute to the chronic illness crisis.
The article did not point out that only 2% of the food consumed in MS is actually raised in MS.
The article did not point out that over $8.5 Billion in food is imported into MS annually.
And, of course, Wednesday Sec. Rollins & Kennedy announced $700 million funding Pilot Program
for Regenerative Agriculture. And, growing whole foods to address the chronic illness crisis.
Let me see if I can describe why we have a "Farm Crisis" in simple terms. FARMERS ARE SQUEEZED BY BIG BUSINESSES ON BOTH THE EXPENSE AND INCOME ENDS OF THEIR FARM BUSINESS! And, these big businesses get their money before the farmer - regardless.
EXPENSE includes Equipment, Land, Financing, Insurance, Seeds, Fertilizers, Chemicals, Etc.
INCOME includes Tyson, Cargill, ADM, BIG Food Brands, Big 4-Meat Brands, Etc.
Subsidies are "sold" as supporting our farmers. However, the billion's of dollars ends up in the accounts of big businesses.
Have you noticed who IS making money? It is the BIG businesses supplying Inputs to the farmer and the BIG businesses who (control price) buy the farmer's commodities!!!
Simply take a look at any of these company's stock price over the last 50 years. Frankly speaking, this is THE ISSUE that has created the farm crisis and until farmers decide they have had enough and separate themselves from selling to big businesses and retool their farms to sell to consumers, their world will only get worse, not better. Here is a video of a farmer in SW Georgia who has retooled his farm and is fighting back. Here is is take on "Killing the American Farmer".
Subsidies only make matters worse by "kicking the can down the road". Here is a quote from a reader of Joel Salatin's recent blog titled BEEF PRICES. Kyle, from AZ comments:
The ratio is even more out of whack here in Arizona where water is pumped up hill for hundreds of miles from the Colorado river by Palo Verde nuclear power plant to irrigate gmo cotton. The nuclear power plant was subsidized, construction of the irrigation project was subsidized, the creation of gmo cotton was subsidized, the cost of electricity to pump the water is subsidized, the insurance is subsidized, and the farmers get subsides for production.
Most of that cotton gets shipped overseas to be made into textiles to be shipped back here and sold in a Walmart store next to a cotton field where the cotton was grown. And we think our food travels a long way!
If we actually had to pay what it costs to do all of that, no one could afford cotton clothing. Small, local farmers producing wool and alpaca fleece, spinning that and weaving it into textiles, as has been done since time immemorial, would be cheaper than industrial cotton.
As a taxpayer, I say enough is enough. But, that is another story for another time.
Now, back to your opportunity to be heard. Commissioner Gipson and the Council have set up five meetings around Mississippi to hear from stakeholders. They are:
Dec 11, 2025 - Stoneville (that was last Thursday)
Jan 21, 2026 - Hattiesburg
Feb 4, 2026 - Verona
Feb 26, 2026 - Brookhaven
Mar 6, 2026 - Jackson
I did not see anything about registering, addresses, times, etc. in this announcement. More to come!
Lastly, with the help of Senator Angela Hill from Picayune I have "invited" both the MS Senate & House Ag Committee Members to vist my farm in January to see first hand what a Regenerative farm is. The agenda is simple, What do we do? How do we do it? Why do we do it? Results? and Issues. Let's see who shows up!
Nature's Gourmet Farm product value proposition is to create a community that evolves around one of the most intrinsically important things of the ages, and that’s the provision of sustenance. That's our passion - to raise healthy animals to provide nutrient dense protein and saturated fat that nourish families and strengthen immune systems.
Our Beef is always grass finished with NO grains. Additionally, our animals are free of mRNA, GMO's (chemicals), Antibiotics, and Hormones. We ethically raise them on diverse forage pastures that regenerates our soils and protects our ecosystem.
Let me encourage you to "Be The Change" our food system needs by "Voting With Your Fork" at every meal.
