A quick thought before we dive into ordering tips - Have you bought your LAMB YET? We restocked last Wednesday about 6pm!

Now, for the tips. Every month we have customers who miss placing their order for one reason or another.

And others contact us about changing pickup locations or similar information that can simply be accomplished during order checkout.

So, this newsletter will help you navigate GrazeCart checkout and hopefully save you time and prevent someone from arriving at pickup and not have an order!

When you click on your cart this is typically the page you will see. It is a review of your order to include pickup location, date, and time. There is a comment block where you can communicate back to our farm about your order. For example: prefer a smaller ham. IF all is correct, simply press the Place Order button. NOTE: with some browsers you may need to scroll down to see this button.

Importance of the Place Order button - after adding product to your cart the items are only allocated to your order AFTER you press the Place Order button. Do not wait until later or another customer can take your items for their order.

If you are a new customer and did not fully complete your account details like cell phone number then at checkout you will be prompted to complete before you can continue. Also, this is a good time for existing customers to confirm their cell number by clicking the Contact information button on the upper left. Here you can easily update your cell number and email. Press Continue when complete.

We ask that everyone check their email & phone number (cell) for accuracy. Often we need to contact customers while on the road regarding a question about your order. Current contact information makes it easier and timely so we can serve you better.

Next, you can update the Delivery Location for your pickup. This happens more during the summer when families are travelling and instead of skipping an order they choose to pickup at a different location – i.e. Farm. New customers must select a pickup location to continue their order checkout. Existing customers can select the Delivery details menu and update their location preference. NOTE: this is very important to our operation as we pack orders based on pickup location and load our delivery trailer accordingly. Changes after orders are packed creates a lot of extra work at the farm. Press Continue when complete.

Next is the Payment details menu. Again, new customers will be prompted to complete their payment preferences before completing their order. Existing customers can update their payment preferences from this menu. Select either Credit Card or Pay at Pickup. Many customers have contacted us to change their preference from CC to PP to avoid the CC fees added to their order. Frankly, we support this and prefer cash or check at pickup. Remember, your order is an estimated total UNTIL we pack your order and add the actual weight of your products. Press Continue when complete.

Now, to finish your order simply select the Place Order button (see first screenshot above). When your order has been successfully received by GrazeCart you will receive the following screen-

It is important to note that you can Add, Edit, or Cancel your order up to the order deadline date which is midnight Wednesday prior to your order delivery date.

Order period reopens at midnight Saturday following completion of your order delivery.

For example: as I write this newsletter on August 2nd, the Gulf Coast Route & Farm delivery locations order period closed Wednesday, July 31st at midnight and will reopen Saturday, August 3rd at midnight.

We hope you find this information beneficial and look forward to serving your family from our farm for years to come.

I’d like to request some of the unprocessed lard ~10lbs. Also, if possible, I’d like a whole Boston butt vs a section of the muscle. Thank you so much for all you are doing! This is such a wonderful local food resource. You have been vital to me and my family recovering our health! April E. We also know April through our Azure Standard drop off. She and many more of our customers are also customers of Azure and meet their truck once per month. If you are not familiar with this company you can check them out here.

Customer Testimony | Part 4 of 4 Dr. Casey Means

Powerful Customer Testimony: One of our 70-year-old customers (I will call him George) wrote the following testimony.... I really enjoyed Dr. Casey Means' book and video. She advocates eliminating seed oils because of their high Omega-6 content and eating at least 2 grams of Omega-3 per day (Good Energy, page 285). Seed oils include soybean oil, canola oil, corn oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, and safflower oil (Good Energy, page 172). She recommends getting Omega-3 fatty acids from pastured eggs. Grass-finished beef also has Omega-3s. The recommended Omega-6:Omega-3 ratio is less than a 4:1 ratio, with lower being better.
