  4. 4. Product Availability Update

Half/Whole Beef Orders: Beef sales this year have been outstanding. Especially our half/whole custom beef orders. Frankly, we have had to outsource the processing to Homestead because at this time we don’t have the capacity to handle the increased volume. This has also let us increase the quantity of cuts that we sell through our website.

We are planning ONE more harvest of seven beef (14 halves) for 2024. The harvest date will be November 5th. That will give the processor time to complete your order where you can pickup before your Thanksgiving holiday.

If you are interested then you need to email me ASAP as we already have folks on the wait list. Here is a link to helpful Ordering Tips.

Thanksgiving Turkeys & Smoked Hams:

Last year we ordered freshly frozen turkeys from Joe’s Farm in MI. He raises them on pasture just like we do and only feeds them Non-GMO turkey feed – same as NGF. And everyone loved them.

So, we have ordered 60 Thanksgiving turkeys from Joe’s Farm. I received word that they are processed and ready to ship by sprinter van. Not sure the exact delivery yet, but have setup our store to accept Pre-orders just like we did last year. Delivery to customers will start after we receive them, but not later than Thanksgiving.

***25% have already been spoken for using Pre-Order*** So, don’t hesitate and be left out. Joe said this is all he has left.

Smoked hams are a Thanksgiving favorite along with the centerpiece turkey. We have some in inventory now and will process smoked hams from pigs we harvest in October – inventory to be ready for November delivery routes.

Part 2 of 4 Dr. Casey Means: So, why are we always stocked out? Because more and more families are ditching processed foods for real food from a farmer they know and trust!

Casey Means, MD is a Stanford-trained physician, Chief Medical Officer and Co-founder of metabolic health company Levels, and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Disease Reversal and Prevention. Her mission is to maximize human potential and reverse the epidemic of preventable chronic disease by empowering individuals with tech-enabled tools that can inform smart, personalized, and sustainable dietary and lifestyle choices.

Last week on our Jackson Route we had customers comment that they follow Dr. Means and thanked us for sharing her work. Another customer, who was referred to her after recovery from a major heart attack, said he has been following her protocols on her website Levels.

Dr. Means published her book titled “Good Energy” on May 9th, 2024 that became an instant #1 New York Times bestseller.

In the Introduction of her book she gives facts related to the health trends of our children, our parents, and ourselves.

Casey and her brother Calle are certainly doing a lot to increase awareness of how broken our heath and food industries are. But, she is not the only one. Another prominent name, RFK Jr., is very out spoken on the poor condition of Americans health and also calls out food as the primary issue.

Today, I’m sharing Part 2 of 4 themes Dr. Means discusses with Megyn Kelly titled “The Truth About Seed Oils and the Disgusting Way Canola Oil is Made”. You can watch from this link.

If you missed Part 1 titled “Our Medical Establishment Has “Intentional Blindspot” For What Can Help Americans.” You can watch from this link.

I’ll leave you with this quote from Wendell Berry- "People are fed by the food industry, which pays no attention to health, and are treated by the health industry, which pays no attention to food".

Customer Testimony | Part 4 of 4 Dr. Casey Means

Powerful Customer Testimony: One of our 70-year-old customers (I will call him George) wrote the following testimony.... I really enjoyed Dr. Casey Means' book and video. She advocates eliminating seed oils because of their high Omega-6 content and eating at least 2 grams of Omega-3 per day (Good Energy, page 285). Seed oils include soybean oil, canola oil, corn oil, peanut oil, sunflower oil, and safflower oil (Good Energy, page 172). She recommends getting Omega-3 fatty acids from pastured eggs. Grass-finished beef also has Omega-3s. The recommended Omega-6:Omega-3 ratio is less than a 4:1 ratio, with lower being better.
