For those of you who have been a part of our farm community probably recognize Diana Rodger's name. I first meet her several years back when she spoke at the Grassfed Exchange Conference that we had attended.
Diana Rodgers, RD, LDN is a “real food” Licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist living on a working organic farm in New England.
She runs an active nutrition practice where she helps people with weight, metabolic, and intestinal issues recover their health through diet and lifestyle. She’s also an author, host of The Sustainable Dish Podcast, and the mom of two active kids. She speaks at universities and conferences internationally about nutrition and sustainability, social justice, animal welfare and food policy issues.
For several years she has been working on a documentary titled Sacred Cow with collaboration from many well known leaders in the Regenerative Ag space.
Sacred Cow proposes a new way to look at sustainable diets. With Diane's nutritional background she takes a deep dive into the nutritional claims against meat, why cattle raised well are actually good for the environment, and addresses the ethical considerations surrounding killing animals for food.
But even if this way of raising animals is better than our current system, surely you can’t feed the world this way, right? Yep, she tackles that too.
How can you watch?
Sacred Cow will be available for viewing for a limited time only from November 22 through November 30—for free. Simply click the button below and enter your email, and you’ll be set to receive the film in your inbox on the 22nd!
After spending years analyzing the science, this film presents a solid case that:
Meat and animal fat are essential for our bodies
A sustainable food system cannot exist without animals
A vegan diet may destroy more life than sustainable cattle farming
Regenerative cattle ranching is one of our best tools at mitigating climate change
We’re told that if we care about our health—or our planet—eliminating red meat from our diets is crucial. That beef is bad for us and cattle farming is horrible for the environment. But science says otherwise.
