Amazing Recognition 2025 #12 Best Blogger! – A site titled FeedSpot recently released what they describe as the best Regenerative Agriculture blogs from thousands of blogs on the web and ranked by relevancy, authority, social media followers & freshness.

We are amazed that Nature’s Gourmet Farm blog ranked #12 out of the top 30 blogs recognized.

We became aware of this when Leticia was searching regenerative farms and came across Feedspots listing and text me the details.

Leticia, originally from LA (Los Angeles – not Lower Alabama hahaha) was a student at USM working on her second degree as a Dietician, started working for our farm in September 2022.

She worked every Saturday washing, grading, and packing 3 to 4 days worth of eggs or 3,000+ eggs. When her class schedule allowed she also helped with chicken processing.

Leticia was very dedicated and took a lot of pride in her work. Her passion for eating “clean” and regenerative agriculture as the path to restore people’s health was evident is her work ethic. One of her favorite shirts read, “I’m Just Here For The Eggs.”

She graduated from USM in early May. After spending the summer at home with family she will travel to Montana to complete an internship as the final requirement for studies. Her dream is to be a travelling dietician so hopefully our paths will cross again soon. We wish her the best and God Speed as she continues to pursue her dream.

BILLIONS AGAINST BAYER – shared from Organic Consumers Association email May 17th 2025

Good News! Bayer CEO Warns That Company May Stop Making Roundup

Ryan Hanrahan reports for Farm Policy News:

“The Wall Street Journal’s Patrick Thomas reported that ‘Roundup’s time may be up. Pharmaceutical and agriculture conglomerate Bayer said it could stop producing the world’s most popular weedkiller, unless it gets court protection against lawsuits blaming the herbicide for causing cancer.

Roundup has generated tens of billions of dollars in sales over time for Bayer and Monsanto, the biotech seed giant and developer of Roundup that Bayer acquired in 2018,’ Thomas reported. ‘Bayer currently produces about 40% of the world’s glyphosate, which farmers spray across fields to tame crop-threatening weeds. But over the past decade, the herbicide has also brought Bayer a wave of litigation, pressuring its share price and costing about $10 billion in payouts to plaintiffs,’ Thomas reported. ‘In early March, Bayer told farmers, suppliers and retailers that it may stop selling Roundup, which would leave U.S. farmers reliant on imported glyphosate from China.’

‘We’re pretty much reaching the end of the road,’ Bayer Chief Executive Bill Anderson said in an interview,” according to Thomas’ reporting. ‘We’re talking months, not years.’”

Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith OUT OF TOUCH with consumers!

Here is a Facebook post by Smith questioning HHS Secretary RFK Jr about his report regarding pesticide use as a source of our chronic health issues. An example of the many comments to her post says:

Jacob Hawley - "If pesticides are safe, how do we account for the 126-140% increase in Parkinson’s disease and dementia if you live on or near a golf course? Also how does this affect the bee farming? It’s some pretty serious data how all this chemical negatively affects bee keeping and it’s widely known bees are dying at a scary rate.”

After watching, Beth asked that I share MAHA Films Presents: Toxic Nation. Toxic Nation exposes…
📣 Why seed oils and synthetic additives are wrecking our health (and why they’re allowed in the US despite being banned abroad)

📣How cellular damage builds up even when you’re “doing everything right”

📣And why detox isn’t working for so many people

Farm Improvements

Farm Improvements – Fresh water is a necessity for raising healthy animals on pasture. Until recently, we used an ICB tote on a small tralier that we would refill from our well. During the summer the frequency greatly increases in order to keep the chickens hydrated. So, I called my buddy at Southern Pipe and ordered pipe, fittings, etc. and then rented a trencher for May 16th to install 2,700 feet of 1.25 inch PVC pipe. Along the line we added 15 Plasson Quick Coupler Valves that we will hook to as we move the animals through our pastures.

My Advise How To Jump Start Small Farms In Mississippi

“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.” — Henry Kissinger The fight to change food from addictive to nutritive will most likely be harder than the fight regarding tobacco (smoking) in public places that started back in the 1980’s. Note that my comments are NOT a condemnation of anybody who may use tobacco in any way as this can be a sensitive topic. However, it is personal to me as my Dad smoked at least 45 of his 75 years and died of lung cancer.

Small Farm Republic

Pasture Talk With Our Cows– Tuesday morning I was out checking on our cows and took the opportunity to record a short 2-minute story about the time I saved the life of one of the “pet” cows Number 608. Click to watch here. Small Farm Republic- is a book written by John Klar. A former attorney who contracted Lyme disease, John now farms in Vermont. I spent much of last weekend reading his book. He is very pro-small farms and presented a lot of evidence to support his position. On page 77 he makes a comparison to the number of farms and farmers during the Great Depression versus today. During the Great Depression the American population was 100 million. According to USDA charts
